hello world. it is i.
i never thought i would start a blog, or have anything interesting to write about...however, things change when you are PREGNANT! most of my family live in waycross, a world away from what my father affectionately calls sin city aka atlanta. if anyone who is not tied to me through blood or marriage happens to stumble upon this literary masterpiece, i will provide some relevant biographical information.
i am from the okefenokee swamp in waycross, georgia. benson and i have been happily together for 9 years...married for 3. we coexist with 2 warring australian shepherds. one of these shepherds acquired a minion, buddy. buddy likes to sound the alarm at any leaf that dares stray past our homestead. i am a recent catholic convert and love my new religion. feel free to ask away! i am cripplingly empathetic. i am a vegetarian who eats fish. i am an avid reader. benson and i have traveled the world but with a baby on the way we are probably anchored stateside for a while. gardening is great. we have what some people politely call an eclectic sense of style. benson is always introducing me to wonderful new music. i am fully entrenched in my nerdiness. i am currently jobless...a castaway from the economy's dismantling of public education. i loved teaching world history though :( did i mention that i am currently incubating a baby?
